So my first week off with the family is over. We've had a fantastic week, who needs to fly abroad when you've got the great British outdoors and tonnes of family and friends to see.

Today we did something I've only ever done once before and I'm pretty sure I won't be doing again, we went to introduce my daughter Rosa to my Grandad, her Great Grandad. A very special man, who still has the energy, lust for life and positive spirit that would put most half his age to shame. When I put Connie to bed tonight she said it was the best bit of her week and I have to say I think it was mine too. With 92 years from top to toe it was lovely to have the full breadth of the family together (if not the full contingent) and even better that we all walked a good mile or so to polish off a great roast and bottle of red. I raise my hat to you Mr Ferrari, long may it continue. I only wish one day one of my daughters sons comes to show me their daughter, they better all start young!
